NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter launched at 5:32 p.m. EDT aboard an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The satellite will relay more information about the lunar environment than any other previous mission to the moon.

  • You must mean Marine One, the helicopter. Air Force One is 747...

    Oops - that's right. Landing Air Force One at The White House might not have been beneficial for the rose garden.

  • so wen this left the atmosphere or sumthing did it light up the whole sky with a blue or orange light?? cuz i was in new mexico near santa fe and it was about 2 in the morning or 3 and i saw it....it was big.....at first i thot it was a frikken ufo or sumthing......x] [pheobe]

  • That must have been great! What was it like?  I was at The White House outside when Air Force One landed and it's a jaw-dropper. A rocket launch has got to fill you with dizzying awe. I hope to see it some day.
