My chickens, Ingrid & Luna, as well as Peepers, Banana, Pineapple, Coal, and Colbalt.
The last five are only a couple weeks old. They were used as warmer chicks in a package. They were used as packing material for ducks that someone in Chicago ordered. They then posted the 'useless' chicks on Craigslist for free. Seven of the chicks were killed by a snake and two by irresponsible people and only five were able to be saved. These five were taken to a sanctuary thankfully but stayed at my house for a while.
Luna and Ingrid lived in my house for more than a year. Ingrid passed away on May 9, 2009 and Luna was brougt to a family of vegans in Wisconsin, who wanted a pet rooster to guard their hens. Luna is a White Rock Bantam and Ingrid was an Orpington bantam.
Chickens are fantastic companion animals - very smart and silly animals. I could watch them for days.

you are good person for helping rescue chickens. I have some chickens in my backyard, and they are so cute! watching them makes me happy :)

Like I am just like so happy you made this video.
It shows how far away from nature man has become.
I mean like,I remember reading an article awhile ago how a man on the NYC transit subway kissed a chicken,and like everybody thought he was crazy.
Its just so sad how we hurt the chickens.

My dad has chickens and raises them and cares for them and he always was around chickens

i eat chickens some times but i only eat free rage and free rang eegs to, i dont want to eat a chicken thats been put into a big wherehouse when they cant move and being unhappy and unhealfy and also maybe been beaten up arrg i hate fatchy frams!

Eating free-range eggs and meat doesn't mean the animals lived a good life, unfortunately. The male chickens are still ground up alive days after their birth, they are all cruelly de-beaked, fed the remains of other dead animals, and given growth-hormones.
It's sad to know but chickens are one of the most abused animals on the planet. They are even killed in some of the most horrific ways.
They are scalded/burned alive and there is no government laws to protect chickens or turkeys.

Yes, Chickens are great little ones to have around the house. We set up a dog run pen inside my living room where the chickens roosted at night... it was nice to have them so close! Plus, we think they enjoyed watching TV!
