Your words remind me of Sergio Endrigo, who used to say that the most beautiful love songs are sad songs. He even provided us with a reasonable explanation of this state of affairs: one sings Love when one is NOT happy; when one is happy, there's no need to SING Love: suffice it to ENJOY it.
