Al these coments are old. Did you have log-term success with this unit ? Aso, it looks like you have the positive on the rod and the negative on the coil spring. ?

ok, hah i drilled a small hole in the bottom and shoved some ss hanging wire in there that wraped around the flange between the spring coils then clamped it on with a hose clamp. it worked but i just figured there was a better way, anyway i like the way this one lets the bubbles condense inside instead of just foaming up like most plates and open top tubes do, hopefully i can post some videos. thanks again

dang quick response, i had an idea to make something like this...except mine sucked. i want to try and emulate this. great job by the way on all your cells

Well then, finish one of the three and post a video. Let's see the "pretty bubbles"...
ok you have a threaded rod inside a spring? maybe im misunderstanding this

SS threaded rod inside SS coil spring. The clear PVC tubing keeps the coil from touching the rod allowing for a fairly close spacing between the two.

ok, i made one like this but it started to rust and fill with goo right away and got cloged, i think it was the rod (alloy 20 ss)..anyway how are the electrical connections to the spring made?

I used 316SS threaded rod. The electrical connections were made using ring terminals that were put over the nylon shoulder flange washers and held in place with the ss flat washers and spring tension.

Same place as Schedule 80 clear PVC.
