Billie was known for singing "behind the beat" Be here she clearly floats so lovely with the Orchestra perfectly. Her voice is literally riding on the melody. A True Master!! I love this Woman..

Of all Miss Billie's songs, I think I love this one most of all. "You smiled at me so sweetly, since then one thought occurred, that we fell in love completely, the day that you bought me violets for my furs." Who else but Billie could turn a simple act of love into such a wonderful, sweet thing. Just magnificent

Thanks for posting this, I'm listening to everyone doing this romantic tune, and of course, OUR GIRL Billie's right up there with Sinatra's rendition. I wish Jack Jones was on here doing it, too.
