Silly Silo at Adventureland - (Chance Rotor)

If your ever near Altoona Iowa, you have to stop at Adventureland. This is a great park. They've got a good collection of rides and a real good atmosphere. One of my all time favorite rides is a Chance Rotor. Silly Silo at Adventureland was a nice treat for me. You just don't see to many of these anymore. I had the chance to stop here on the way home from ACE Preservation Con 2006. It was well worth it, and I look forward to future trips there.

from what I can tell the only one left in US, a classic, one-of-a-king ride-the flying saucer thing at fairs has nothing on The Rotor

If you haven't noticed, because it's so fast (you probaly did cuz people's feet are up) what happens is the floor drops and you are hanging on the wall the rest of the ride

The time I went on this I was all alone, spinning, inside that thing..but before I started to spin the worker messed up and dropped the floor without me spinning.. O_o... I had to go into the middle and let the floor lift me back up so that i could enjoy the ride.. Lol
