you can only put it back up when your on the ground and its basicly used when you run out of fuel

if you lose all engine power, the RAT Extends, and gives you BASIC power in the cockpit.

I have been having problems putting the RAT back up in the plane can you help me with that

I remember seeing it on a movie once, I think it provides emergency power in the event of both engines and the APU failing.

Its a air powered turbine.
