Animal Action Day

The world's first Animal Action Day on 26 August 2007 on the Gold Coast of Australia included stage entertainment by bands Don't Panic (playing rock covers), Loose Enz (doing an Eagles and John Denver tribute) and singers including the world's best Elvis tribute artist Dean Vegas, Tamborine Mountain Opera/ celtic singer Kathleen Procter-Moore, Brisbane tenor Roger Davy (as Pavarotti), Gold Coast singer Raymond Symes (doing Neil Diamond) and Gold Coast country singer Allison Forner, stalls, Puppia Best Dressed Owner/ Pet Look-alike Competition and activities like a jumping castle by The Phun Team, animal face painting by Smiley the Clown etc.
