This is my impression of the film as a casual Star Trek viewer.

For the record, I am a Picard man.

  • If you haven't already, You should check out "Fanboys". It is for star Wars fans with the same sentiment as what you were describing.

    " OFF MY LAND TREKKIE"

  • As a Kevin Smith Junkie I heard about this a long time ago, I cannot remember who said it (it wasn't him) but I heard the film is not all that good.

  • I love Star Trek and its philosophy. Your video seems to have just cut you off there.

  • GD late hours. yeah, it cut off like 3 words. Oh well.

  • I think most movies we go and see them in the theater and think they are really good then 10 years or so later we watch it on basic cable and think wow this sucked why did I like this? I think it's mostly the hype and I think we enjoy a movie more when we have to pay all that money for the tickets and food to go in the movie theater to watch it.

Interesting how you say you nitpick. I kind of do that too but if I really like a movie I watch it compulsively until I don't like it anymore.

  • I never change my mind ten years later like that. At least. I cannot think of an instance where I did that.

No, I nitpick no matter what. I even ruin CSI

  • @BryanRiel That's Obsessed, not Upsessed. Sorry to correct you.

  • Star Trek 2009 was partially made to grab the non-Trekkies. I used to think that Star Trek was stupid and nerdy. But after watching the Star Trek 2009, I became pretty much upsessed with the franchise! So I'm a Trekkie! "Live Long and Prosper."

  • @TheExtremeGreen

gi joe sucked, there were more things wrong with it than there were in transformers 2 - so you fail

  • yes thats why i said habitually hidden, she would have noticed it in class.

  • Please note that Uhura and Spock were hooked up before Vulcan was destroyed. The Cargo bay ship assignment scene certainly demonstrates that.

  • That would be "impersonation" bud, not impressions. lol. Not to make fun of you, I've given your comment a thumbs up, but that made me laugh pretty hard. xD

  • g i joe was an epic.....failure. your prediction was crap.

  • tyler perry DIDN'T wear a dress? say it ain't so!!!

  • g i joe will be epic your reviews are crap

  • Uhura and Spock, you don't need to invoke cerebral chaos theory to explain this, in the new timeline Spock lost his mother and Uhura was singularly perceptive to his habitually hidden pain (she's good with subtle signals).

Once rapport is 'logically' demonstrated this way and given they are both healthy and couragous the rest is as inevitable as a consequence of law of physics. qed, hee hee ;)
