"Clean Up Woman" is a song by Betty Wright from her second studio album, "I Love The Way You Love". The single refers to an unnamed 'Clean Up Woman' who 'cleans up', 'who gets all the love we girls leave behind' and collects any men 'dumped in the street'. Written and produced by Clarence Reid and Willie Clarke, it was released in 1971 as a 7" single with "I'll Love You Forever" on the B-side, reaching number six on the U.S. Pop Singles chart, where it stayed for fourteen weeks, and number two on the U.S. Black Singles chart. It has sold over a million copies with the RIAA gold disc awarded on December 30, 1971. This channel is dedicated to all the great 'old school' R&B music I grew up with, the stuff that originally made me tap my feet and want to be a DJ. Funk, soul, disco, R&B, dance, hip-hop, pop . . . 60s, 70s, 80s . . . whatever you call it, it's all 'Old School' and it's all here!

  • @midwayification I spend my mispent youth around the clubs in Liverpool on music like.....too much much to handle.... this brilliant

  • @midwayification I agree totally with you......but as long as we indivduals dont loose our soul, sounds like this will always survive....stay lucky

  • You know, we've completely lost the soul in our music. I love it

  • This old school music is what I grew up on & I love it to this very day. It's time to break out the grown womans drink & sip sip as I move my hips.

  • Long live the 70's. If it weren't for the start of that era,I would've never been born. That's why I've been paying homage since my junior high school days.
