@Kamikazepansen Something else you might try. On tug and tow boats the wheels (props) are spinning inside of a metal ring. They're called "Cort nozzles". They stop the outward movement of water and force it straight back. This gives them more thrust with the same amount of energy. Also helps when reversing. Putting the rudder directly behind the Cort nozzle gives faster turning response. Nice job btw.

@josephdupont we never tried gearing in our hpbs, but for some reason: the tension of the chain is too high, it would ruin the gears if you shifted...

Have you heard of ores?

I'd love to see the this boat's propeller.

Nice job.. You might want to put yourself into a streamlined pod. If you are facing wind, the drag could add up. In addition you might what to put some gears on it.. great job.

Hi, good job! what kind of propeller did you use? where i can find one like that?can you advice me some website where i can find propeller for a pedal boat? thanks

Think hydrofoil.

cool
Have you considered hydrofoils. Lot less drag!
You can search human powered hydrofoil

its a great boat, i might be wrong but i would have thought it would have been possible to go faster, cause humans cant produce much horsepower, but we can produce alot of low down torque, maybe a bigger pitch on the propeller and taller gears.
