That awkward moment when you're here to watch the video, but you end up pausing it and reading through the argument between fuckyeahEPIC and others.
Can we move on and enjoy the video already?

@fuckyeahEPIC Though it is a wonderful satire, I think it's a stretch to say we sold our souls. No, we were taught this was all their was. Consumer bullshit. Our parents plopped us in front of televisions while they were busy building their careers. But some of us learned and are still learning. So no, as a youth of today, we didn't sell out souls. You did for us. We were the victims, and you are to blame for our self-indulgence.
By the way, it's ironic the 2011 Levi's ad used a Bukowski poem.

This may be my favorite YouTube video. Thank you.

It is very assumptive of people to automatically attribute this to the whoring of a classic poet.
Whitman would have been the first to whore himself out if it meant reaching a wider audience, so please stop taking such a snobby approach to something that you obviously don't have an educated opinion on, when you're only looking to feel accomplished for rejecting another commercialized product that you think is sapping our moral foundations.
Also, enjoy those rose-colored glasses, fuckyeahEPIC.

@fuckyeahEPIC The differences is what will make us reach a united front. Cause of the differences. So, go on run you little un educated mouth, tell me I am wrong for loving heavy metal and the orchistra. I will leave the supperfical labels and conformism to you, and delight in the new world of acceptance and light.

@fuckyeahEPIC you have no right. to say shit like this, it is discusting that you can even thing this way. The choice a person makes of wheather or not to express themselves is their's alone. This is a age in which people are becoming more aware of themselves as a whole. It is a truely amazing thing, to see, people know that they want some thing different that goes against the norm. Being different is what makes people as a whole amazing,.

Awesome satire. Levi's uses the great concepts associated with America for their own financial gain, as do many other similar corporations. Thankfully we have the freedom of speech and satire to strike back. And Charles Bukowski saw everything before it even happened.

you guys are assholes the real one is very touching and says alot about life.

LOL Fuck Levi's
This is a brilliant satire. The original Walt Whitman poem is an ideal of youthfulness, and this satire is the sad reality of pretentious, affluent, self-indulgent, self-appeasing, contemporary youth. Even the youths of the 90s were about something more than the youths of today. What are today's youth about - superficial fame, cheap amusement, desperate nostalgia, marketable personality, fabricated drama, whoring talent? The youth of today sold their souls, and they get paid by folks like Levis.
