They need to build a concrete arch bridge to replace that POS. It's funny how many times you drive over a bridge and never for a second do you question it's structural integrity. Those inspection results should be posted for the public once a year, at least on a busy bridge like that. And why in the F did they have money to repave it, but not slap some braces on it? You don't put a new roof on a rotting house.

I remember looking at it, and now seeing old photographs, IT'S CRAZY how those truss spans were nearly horizontal. I mean, I study geodesics and the thing just looked physicaly imposible. .. I guess it was.

if they post the inspection results of bridges, especially after what happened, people wouldn't drive most bridges for fear of another collapse.
