85 Warlock Affliction (Shadow Bolt) POV video of Shannox dying.

The good: we killed him, this boss is easy. Felhunter bit the bad guys with his sharp, shiny, angular teeth.

The bad: was suffering over 1000 ms latency, so it was a frustrating night of raiding. Also at least 5 of the people in the raid decided not to have headphones and talk a lot on vent, which made me destroy a hundred planets in the Milky Way due to rage.

Dreamalittle was ilvl 363 at time of filming. Affliction spec 32/3/6 (3/3 bane 3/3 shadow and flame). Gear bias is haste. Very heavy on haste. Haste is good. Unbuffed stats:

Spell Power: 6678
Haste: 15.34%
Hit: 17.02%
Crit: 14.45%
Mastery: 13.27

Love the vid, just curious, Int > Haste > mastery > crit after hit rating is reached yes? cos i cant find any definate advice

@Golinsteelheart i think the stat weights are equal enough at the moment for affliction/destro (for demonology mastery is higher than haste due to pet damage sourcing from mastery) that it doesn't matter too much what you go. as affliction this is my stat priority: 17.00% hit > int > haste > crit > mastery. i try and get haste as a base stat on all my gear as i personally feel it is the most useful in nearly every situation

@MrDreamalittle ok ok, that sounds pretty fair enough! Just trying to get over 14k dps as affliction is a bit of a struggle for me currently, i think one of my major problems was refreshing with fel flame, also, what is the primary reason for using drain soul in the "Nuke" phase?

@Golinsteelheart 14k dps might mean you're not soul swapping or refreshing haunt asap. buttontimers is key to doing max dps as a warlock imo. check my affliction ui guide, having a good ui can make all the difference.

It's the latency that made it look like you were "nowhere near this trap." Server-side you were in fact right on it when it triggered.

@yuwantha i'm either #1 in our kills or within 1-2k dps of the others. assuming equal gear levels affliction should be either the #1 dps or within close reach of arcane mage and shadow priest (i find our shadow priest beats me often, especially on multi target fights sometimes, and i sometimes lose to mage/hunter when there is lots of aoe as their aoe attacks are stronger or so i think...). keep checking raidbots.com to identify trends or get a "top down" view on current dps standings.
