About this intro: Yeah I know it took waaaay to long to get this done and officially introduce and kick off this channel and I am not gonna get into a lot of detail about my life, crap going on etc, I am not one of those types and that is not what this channel is about! One of the other main reasons though was I just could not think about how to go about it. In the end I figured OK then, just DO it and be myself. I was still not sure WHAT I was going to do in this channel exactly, I mean we certainly do not need more "reviews" here on YouTube do we? Even though I knew the theme and subject matter and topics I wanted to include. I was a little stuck on how to go about it, now more then ever "Copyright" becomes more and more of an issue so I want to be careful about the material I include, lastly, as most of my subscribers on my gaming channel know I try my best to be different, I do NOT want to cover the same material and re-hash what has been done a million times over already and most likely already done better than what I could do lol! After deciding to just go ahead and make this introduction video I figured I needed a good back-drop and setting. Of course I do not exactly live in Transylvania or some cool old Gothic European country, I mean this is CANADA, British Columbia in a small City nestled among mountains and beautiful weather! WOOOO SPOOKY! I decided at the very least as I am talking and filling you in I could walk around our local Cemetery for some Ambiance!
I WILL SAY if you did not know that Kelowna BC was the actual back drop for the Canadian Horror Comedy "FIDO" starring Billy Connolly, Dylan Baker and Carrie Ann Moss!! In fact, the main street the family lived on really has that classic old charm with only a few vintage cars and some details added to to fit the time period depicted in the movie. The CEMETERY scene with the mountains in the background is this very Cemetery you are seeing in this video. Not the most Gothic or dreary Cemetery for sure obviously (It's right next to a GOLF and COUNTRY CLUB!) but I figured it was the closest I could get in this City for a
suitable location. So that is it! I will include more links and relative info about the location etc below if you are interested. Otherwise this it it! My first video, introduction, and official WELCOME to my channel MaximumRD's Horror, Gore and More! PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, RATE and tell everyone you know to check it out!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Rob aka MaximumRD.

ABOUT THE VIDEO LOCATION:
The City of Kelowna Municipal Cemetery.
Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery occupies 50 picturesque acres at the base of Dilworth Mountain adjacent to the Kelowna Golf & Country Club.
Originally an Anglican Church burial ground at the turn of the century, this historical area of Kelowna remembers both pioneers and recent citizens who helped shape our community. This Cemetery is literally right next door to the
Kelowna Golf and Country club established in 1920.
This Cemetery was featured in the advertisements and the movie "FIDO":

  • Can't wait to see more videos on this channel Rob and i must comment it's amazing how a piece of music can turn a video of a nice daytime walk of a cemetery into something more chilling. also was this the same cemetery you worked at years ago?

  • @jboypacman Yes it is indeed the same Cemetery.

  • What a coincidence. Just yesterday through some intense Ebay and Google searching i ran accross some old Horror/Monster records i had as a kid. And found places to download them. It really brought back some memories.

They were "Famous Monsters Speak", "Sounds to make you shiver", and "A Story Of Dracula, The Wolfman And Frankenstein" also released as "House of Terror" Which includes a comic to read along with.

Very cool stuff to check out. They made stuff like that a lot better back then.

  • my buck horn was scared as hell, great shit keep it up... :-D

  • Indeed a tour of the golf club would fit in the "more" section, akin to the "beyond" of bed bath and beyond! Lol I can not wait for more videos, great stuff!

  • Nice Rob!! Great intro vid. Kelowna Cemetary looks chillingly awesome.. I guess it's even better @ night? lol.. Can't wait to see more materials in this channel!

  • I am not one for horror, but sci-fi is right up my ally.

  • @IntellivisionDude Dude could you send me a link to where you download those buddy?

  • @MaxRDsHorrorAndGore Ah i was wondering very cool.

  • A bit creepy.... With you wandering around the cemetery, I was beginning to wonder if you were actually going to commit a horrifying, gory act!

The "cemetery security" story was very interesting.

I'm very curious to see where you go with this channel, since you're not going to be concentrating on horror movie reviews. I have no real suggestions, except maybe an occasional pop-up scare or something.
