There's a difference between being your best self and changing who you are completely to appeal to others. Make the right decision, you'll be glad you did.

  • Why is changing yourself looked down upon?

If you don't change, that just means you haven't grown or learned new things. The people who come into my life influence me everyday and I learn from them. Theres no shame in that. I'm proud to look back at all the ways I've changed over the years. For example, I used to eat junk food just like everyone else, but now I've adopted a new healthy vegan diet! Change only means you've made progress. Hopefully in the right direction. (:

  • @1mbritt There's a difference between changing yourself for others and personal growth.

  • I saw this video a while back and thought "Oh, that's nice." I recentley found myself changing for someone and I thought, "what was that Tyler Oakley video about changing yourself?" After searching for it and finally finding it, I watch it and think "this is exactly what I need."

  • @AsAKaite This is what I like to hear. <3

  • damn straight, sir.

  • 51 seconds of video, and every second is so important. I watch this video every once in a while to remind myself. I try really hard to focus on optimistic things, but most of the time i spend so much time disliking myself or finding flaws in myself that I just... forget. I forget how to like myself. I follow you on twitter and tumblr etc, and I'm always so fascinated by how much you embrace yourself. Watching this video always reminds me that I should keep trying to figure out how to do that.

  • This video is always relevant.

  • @Aranel1200 Thanks!

  • So existential!

  • Sooooo... I've visited your channel from time to time in the last few years and I pretty much always liked, what i saw. Now I discovered you have a tumblr. And I love, what you post.. I feel like reblogging everything.. but THIS video pretty much made me fall for you. (Although I don't even feel like I needed the advice... ) :) Thanks and stay awesome.

  • So true. There are people who do stick around in your life and they shouldn't expect you to change for them anyway. They're there for the long haul because they love you for who you are :)

This is exactly what I've been thinking all week.

  • This is like... your best video.

  • @PyroPal96 you sound like my friends mom :O -good thing-

  • you talk fast
