From this song, "Smells like Teen Spirit" was born...and from there, alternative music started hitting the main stream. Pixies deserve all the credit for the grunge and alternative music movement in the early and mid 90's...

Because Smells Like Teen Spirit it's a rip off of Pixies my friend! Haha. Even Kurt Cobain said that he was just trying to rip off the Pixies when he wrote Smells Like Teen Spirit. Don't believe me? You should look it up.

no dude he didnt say he was trying to rip off the pixies all of nirvana sead it sounds so mutch like the pixies uknow cause of the whole quiet loud thing that thay wasnt going to do the song but thay did it and it rocks two of the best bands of all time ...and pixies and nirvana was friends :)
