Amaranth land dispute brings Kashmiri sovereignty into limelight

Indians, since Independence have seen Kashmir as a part of India, more so because of Pakistan's claim over it. But in between all these claims and counterclaims the Kashmiris have never seen themselves as Indians.
Kashmiris want the right to decide their identity and most of them want Kashmir as independent country. India however, has reservations on granting such right since King Hari Singh, the last ruler ascended Kashmir to India besides fulfilling their demand for independence could raise similar voices in areas prone to secessionist inclination within India.

India's inability to concede to this insistence has led to such a hue and cry over Amaranth land dispute. This insane politics meant to consolidate traditional vote banks has brought misery to the local and migrant populace.

Secondly India has lost hundreds of thousands of lives and billions of dollars over Kashmir, and that too for people who don't see themselves as Indians. In such a situation holding plebiscite in Kashmir, hopefully, can bring a peaceful solution for everybody.

let me tell u guys onething my best frd is a kashmiri muslim he told me about the problems faced by ppl in kashmir but he understands nd many educated ppl like him understands fully y is it happenin......kashmir is not just kashmir it is jammu nd kashmir with muslims,budhists,hindus etc residin...do u think these hindus nd budhists will ever want to be a part of pakistan ....answer is no.....nd let me put it bluntly wat u did to kashmiri pandits....same day u lost legitimate claim over kashmir
