Let's Play: Mega Man 10 [part 10], Blade Man's Stage (Nintendo Wii Wiiware)
---
This is the first run in MM10 without knowledge of weaknesses or anything, thus making it a blind athentic first run. Though I may play cautitiously depending on the stage threats I percieve. [Blind]

Blade Man (ブレイドマン, Blade Man?) is a Robot Master from Mega Man 10. He attacks by throwing three blades and moves fast between the walls and ceiling, sometimes going down to slash the player. The quick talking and walking Blade Man was the guide to an ancient castle before the Roboenza incident. The castle's lord had a fascination with swords, which inspired the robot's design. He knows a great amount about weapons and swords and can speak on the subject for a very long time.
Strategy - Blade Man jumps around on the walls and ceiling while firing Triple Blade. The best way to deal with him is with Commando Bomb, though only the shockwave will deal heavy damage.

Mega Man 10 (ロックマン10 宇宙からの脅威!!, Rokkuman 10: Uchū kara no Kyōi!!?, lit. Rockman 10: Threat From Outer Space!!) is the upcoming tenth main entry of the classic Mega Man series (not including Mega Man & Bass). Like its predecessor, Mega Man 9, it will be a downloadable title for the same services -- WiiWare, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade -- and is based on the look and feel of the early NES titles. It will be released on March 1, 2010 for WiiWare, March 11, 2010 for PlayStation Network, and March 31, 2010 for Xbox Live Arcade.

Plot
A robotic illness known as Roboenza starts infecting robots, causing them to malfunction, with Roll becoming one of the victims. A month following the outbreak, the infected robots go berserk and attempt to take over the world. Dr. Wily comes to Mega Man and Dr. Light, claiming that he was building a medicine making machine to cure the disease before one of the infected robots stole it. Reluctantly, Mega Man decides to help Dr. Wily retrieve the machine, and soon runs into Proto Man who decides to join him.

Gameplay
Mega Man 10 will have three playable characters: Mega Man, Proto Man and an unnamed third character. The Robot Masters in the game are Sheep Man, Commando Man, Blade Man, Strike Man, Solar Man, Chill Man, Nitro Man, and Pump Man. An easy mode will also be included in the game (which has been compared in difficulty to Mega Man 2) that alters levels, such as placing platforms over spike pits. There will also be a 'Mega Man Challenges' mode where players can practice their skills. Returning features from the previous game include an in-between level item shop and downloadable content.

Development
Mega Man 10 was developed by Inti Creates, a company which developed games in the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX series. Much of the staff previously worked at Capcom, and developed several Nintendo Entertainment System titles, including the early Mega Man games. Like Mega Man 9, the game is a return to the series's roots, as the graphics and music resemble how their original games looked and sounded on the Nintendo Entertainment System's hardware. All the graphics and sound are made from scratch. The game runs on an engine that simulates the behavior of 8-bit video games, even going so far as to include the option to add sprite flicker, known as Legacy Mode.

  • can you just use the quick change.

  • @asherleez When first playing this game, I wasn't used to using the quick change, instead I favored a quick pause. Honesty, with older original classic series Mega Man titles, a quick breather for my mind to think up a strategy when re-entering combat improved my gameplay a bit. Anyway, if I get used to the quick change later on, I'll redo this game and "show em how it's done."

  • Why do you have so much saves?

  • @Ninjazap1 Saving on different files means I can go back to a previous save file if neccessary, it's called having backups, and there are normally 10 slots for use, might as well use them.

  • is there anything you could put at the end other than boobies?

  • @crackster234 hahaha, yes. Depends on the video, depends on my mood, often times I alternatively show other characters from other video games, regular old fanart to sorta... "advertise some classics" that people shouldn't forget and many gamers should try out / play.

  • Hahahah the white flag was cute.

  • Custom Robo is indeed awesome. I borrowed the first one from a friend YEARS ago. I beat it, and only got halfway through the post game tournaments I believe...
