that's concerning. i have a set of the pros and just picked up another set of experts from CRC. mounted up the experts, but no miles on them yet. i have a full season on my pros with no problems. did you see any wear on the pawls? contact sun ringle. their customer service was very helpful when I had questions. sounds like you've just got a bad hub- that's something you can probably warranty. maybe you'll even get lucky and they'll hook you up with the 2012 experts with the straight pull hubs.
