Rough seas near Tasmania, Australia cause cruise ship pool on upper deck to splash well outside of the pool and onto the surrounding deck. This keeps crewmembers very busy constantly mopping and redirecting the resulting floodwater! Onboard Holland America's Statendam.

  • the water looks gross

  • keep cleaning boys

  • when i first experienced this sight in the Caribbean, I thought it was intentional. But then I realized it was because the waves made the boat move which in turn made the waves.Although the kids enjoyed playing in it, the staff eventually had to close the pool down. The waves could be quite strong! Did you know some boats even have Wave Riders right on them now?

  • why would they not shut the pool down in those conditions? thats just silly... videos great but im suprised to see someone jump in then 2 more to then find out they allowed three kids in there...

  • i swam in that axact same pool while it was doing that lol

  • Well it certainly adds an nice affect to the dolphin statuary.

  • what a shite holiday that would be!

  • I would totally swim in that!

  • I was aboard a cargo ship which had some sort of anti-wave system on our outdoor pool! Something an Engineer rigged up...the seas can sure make life difficult if you're not used to it!
