Saturn near opposition, 2011

This is video that I took of Saturn on the night of 28 February 2011. Saturn will be at opposition in 2011 on April 3rd. The video was shot through a webcam in a 3x Barlow on a 9.25" Edge HD telescope that was mounted on a CGEM. The total length of the initial video that was shot is 3m 20s. The final picture has been processed through Virtual Dub and Registax.

What sort of webcam did you use? And how does it attach to the telescope?

Hi. An excellent vid and superb Jupiter vid also. I'd never thought of using Vdub to smooth out the vids before processing in Rstax. Great idea, gonna try it. I'm also hoping to experiment with my Flip HD vid camera. It's pretty grainy on terrestrial low light so don't know how astro will turn out.We'll see!!
