  • "where did this come" from as in this is NOT part of the original operetta. what is it?

  • I can't certify if this song is Lehar , it is rarely performed when it is, it comes qt the beginning of the last act straight after a diqmogue between the ambassador and Njegus

  • Where did this come from?

  • What do you mean by this? It is from a rehearsal of a Operetta I did " The Merry Widow" in which I was playing Njegus the secretary of the Embassador of the Kingdom of Pontvedro, very serious stuff!!!! As all Operettas are.

  • "way too gay" for whom? :)

The music was indeed written by Lehar, and added into a later production of Widow. It is almost always cut. Neither the Sheldon-Harnick, nor the Glocken-Verlag scores include it.

  • Is it you, Francois, who posted this?

I love the way you put some cabaret-esque, music hall-ish flavour in this.

  • Ghastly amateur performance, totally over the top and way too gay, they must have been scraping the barrel when casting this production...

  • Right, I mean like...where was the production at?
