http://www.ted.com When film critic Roger Ebert lost his lower jaw to cancer, he lost the ability to eat and speak. But he did not lose his voice. In a moving talk from TED2011, Ebert and his wife, Chaz, with friends Dean Ornish and John Hunter, come together to tell his remarkable story.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate.

  • @mazdaplz CC2121 is right. Stop living in the past. He was a sleaze who wrote soft core porn and had a show he co hosted AFTER MIDNIGHT trashing movies others made. He was always super ugly and without taste, but he told goons like you which movie to see.

  • @CanadianChronic2121

he was a famous movie critic before, way better than you will ever accomplish in your sad and pathetic life. he had a show on tv that was on the air for like 10 years, siskel and ebert

  • What a fucking vegetable .....

He looks like a retarded ventriloquest doll

  • Making mean comments about someone with a disability will only land you in hell.

  • hes a hero

  • hes a troll

  • People have only started hating on him after a throw away comment he made about Ryan Dunn, which he apologised for.
