Erik Feder, is an expert on parking issues and is the author of the books & ebooks "The Feder Guide to Where to Park Your Car in Manhattan (and Where Not to Park It!)". Erik is also the mastermind behind a new parking search engine that helps people find legal street parking and inexpensive parking garages. On January 18, 2007, Erik was featured on ABC Eyewitness News in a segment that discussed his new parking search engine, his books & ebooks and street parking, parking garage and parking ticket issues in NYC and other major "PC" (Parking Challenged) cities. At his website - http://www.WhereToFindparking.com - Erik has created a parking search engine that offers the information contained in his books/ebooks in small, easy to use chunks. Subscribers can input a time of day and day of the week which allows them to see all the "good" (legal) regulations in any part of the city. They even get to choose how big the search area is - from as small as 50 feet all the way up to one mile. Included is an interactive map function which auto-populates with the subscribers search street and shows a zoomable map view of the search area and includes options for driving directions and find nearby businesses and restaurants. This service is formatted for normal PC screens as well as for mobile devices - Palm Pilots, Blackberrys, PDAs, Cellphones - any internet connection.Erik has written many reports and articles concerning NYC parking. Drawing from his vast experience and research, he can be a valuable source for information about parking tickets, towing, availability of street-parking, availability of garage-parking, myths and truths concerning parking your car in NYC and many other related issues. As John Montone from 1010 WINS-AM radio said "Free parking and cheap garages from the Battery to Harlem. Erik Feder knows them all".The parking search engine is currently available for Manhattan, but check often because we are very soon to add Boston and have other "PC" (Parking Challenged) cities in the works to be added soon. Well I guess ABC was out of stories....
I think if u drive all over NYC u already know where u can park and not. I always try parking near residential areas that helps. + A simple 311 call does the trick on alternate side tips. Who the fuck is going to open up their laptop or PDA to check for a parking spot and pay $30 a year? This is NYC we aint got time for that!
