  • Your timing gets slightly off a lot during the whole video.

  • As i said many posts before, it are 2 different tracks, one is me playing, and the other is the cd-track....is not played directly...

  • sometimes, actually a lot of the time you get ahead of the music. need more precision, better muting.

    Good luck, peace

  • As i said, its not the same track, i recorded it separately and then melted in windows movie maker, lol!

    peace..

  • Good basses show your fuck ups a whole lot better than a shitty one. Good basses pick up every sound produced.

  • Watch the beggining of the video , He clearly Shows you the Warwick Logo. Looks like a 5 string corvette to me

  • @Onionbass it IS wrong.

I held my bass like that when i was still a beginner... Back then I got tired pretty quick. Couldn't pull off fast notes that easy too. Now I'm more experienced, and using the CORRECT way of holding your bass, that is, with thumb directly opposite freting fingers pressing against neck.

    LISTEN TO YOUR TEACHER!

  • no timing, nice bass anyway

  • very good. dont you hae trouble with your wrist in that position? Have you ever hadproblems with it?

  • @jbreborn1 I'm agree, another vantage is on slides and hammer ons, and you can also rest your wrist for a while

  • @Onionbass

THe only advantage it has is making string bending easier on the D and G string. It is not an efficient way of playing, adds alot of strain to your fingers, it limits the amount of stretch your fingers can do, plus you have to move the entire hand to reach notes rather than pivoting on the thumb.

  • @jbreborn1 My teacher used to tell me that..."it's wrong, don't do that!!".

It is NOT a bad habit. Hanging the thumb over the neck is a GREAT vantage in many situations ;-)

  • @Sladkey83

Nice technique? his thumb on his fretting hand is constantly sticking up over the neck :S

  • @tmerrow This is the Korean warwick. I guess that blows your theory all to hell...

  • very impressive and relaxing on a 5 string bass

  • Nice tone, nice technique. Thank you for sharing.
