Shown on BBC2 in 1981, "Animation in Cambridge" introduced the 1936 MGM cartoon "The Old Mill Pond" produced by Hugh Harman and Rudolph Ising in the "Happy Harmonies" series. Nominated for an oscar in 1937, it includes caricatures of performers Cab Calloway, Fats Waller & Bill "Bojangles" Robinson

  • The singer in "Jungle Rhythm" is a caricature of Ethel Waters.

  • @RingoandCarlin Try "Tin Pan Alley Cats."

  • No it wasn't swing wedding, and I know it wasn't made by MGM. I'm looking for a cartoon that like this and the swing wedding but made by a different company.

  • @RingoandCarlin it's MGM swing wedding when you look at this one it should be in the suggestions on the side.

  • Can anybody upload that cartoon that had frogs that sounded like Louie Armstrong, Fats Waller and Cab Calloway and they were singing a song I think was called I want cookies. I'd like to see that again.

  • A work of art, the timing of animation & music is fantastic!
