  • I don't believe those players need that much money to induce them to play a game. How many would walk away from football if they were paid $50,000 a year? Salaries are becoming ridiculous for highly compensated people. What about the other 99.9% of us including those who do actual productive work who get the least?

  • Eli has a very high IQ and did very well in college! He is just a shy country boy, who is a fish out of the water in New York!

  • Guess what hee won it again... 2 time SB MVP, bitches....real slow

  • @klard Don't go to the games or buy NFL merchandise if you think they are paid too much! You vote every day with your money and your time, what businesses succeed or fail and how much these people are able to be paid. Furthermore, the NFL at least has a team salary cap!

And I know I'm responding to a 2 year old post, but I just wanted to let you know that the 99% thing was kinda prophetic :)

  • @klard Yes, they would leave dumbass. Football generates over 9 billion dollar per season. They are not only athletes their business partners with the owners. Its funny how you guys complain about everything. Athletes aren't the reason the economy collapse nor are they the reason your life sucks so stfu.

  • @klard It's a business. The owners and the players are basically partners. So it's not so much an employer/employee relationship as it is a joint venture. The owners need the players for their high level of skill and to present a good product to the consumer and the players need the owners to provide them with the facilities to present that product to the viewers.

  • how was it the defensive line? did u not see tht game winning drive, without eli we would not have fun.

  • I'm not in the same boat here as those who are complaining about atholetes getting paid millions. I think multi-million dollar contracts are OK in pro sports. But no one deserves that much. I have nothing against Eli, I'm a Giants fan. But no one(not even Tom BRady or Peyton Manning or anybody) deserves that much money for ANYTHING, no matter what the work is.
