can i get one with a "potato, potato" soundtrack for idling at stoplights. i think i saw an internal combustion engine at the smithsonian right next to the hand-crank telephones.
-
@coalandnuclear i think you will drive a motorcycle most of the time on open roads, so what you'll need is a good acceleration and not a high top speed - and that's exactly the characteristic of an electric bike -> all the torque available @ the first rev. of the motor + it doesn't need a gearbox!
-
So what was its speed and time at 60 feet then?
-
so what was its 60 foot time?
-
134 is not enough? I think 150 (kph, not mph) is enough to have fun. The straight run are for donkeys, horses runs in circuit.
Driving, not just rotate wrist is the fuyn on bike.
-
noway man! I didnt get off on top speed with my Hayabusa. So what 300kmh boohoo i got to 300+ What i enjoyed was acceleration. Id rather a bike that accelerated madlly to 170 than hit 300+
Acceleration out of the corner.
-
and who the hell are you? since when is 8.9 seconds slow? lol does your car do 8.9?
-
the reason why its at 134 and still running at 8.9 is because it accelerates from a dead stop faster then a bike running on fuel. therefore the bike doesn't need to hit 170 to make up some time on the quarter mile. id like to see you go 134 on a bike in 8.9 sec. and still tell me its not fast enough
-
that's not sad...that's electric. they tend to be quicker than they are fast
-
You mean its fast that fuel powered take that awful lot of time to get on speed.... How boring is that!
The Plasma event happens between about 10 and 12 seconds into this video, exiting the right side of the bike. Look for the orange flashes. If you search YouTube for "Killacycle", there is a video posted by zirconscot that shows an even more impressive "event" in Las Vagas, at night. Ever since we implemented the variable motor brush timing, where we advance the timing at the same time we switch the two motors from series to parallel, we have stopped blowing up motors.
