Just got the LENS about a week ago! So if you are thinking buying T2i or T3i with Kit lens 18-55 DONT!!! Save money and by this lens! I have 50mm I have 28-135 Canon lens but this lens is just INSANELY FAST! VERY SHARP! I am so impressed with SIGMA I will be buying their products for sure!! AMAZING LENS! FOCUS is SOOO FAST and QUITE you cant even tell if it actually works:)) THANK YOU A+++++

bought this lens to ditch the kit lens that came with the 550D (so whoever was asking the questions...there's your answer) I got this because it was a good value. You get a wide aperture at 2.8, image stabilization, and a hypersonic motor (equivalent to Canon's USM). Focus and zoom rings are smooth unlike the 18-55 kit lens.

@MrRhysSir Great to hear, can't find much info regarding this, but the Sigma site lists compatable models and says OS works on all of them.
