i always chose those maps coz mission requirements are lower and there are military. It's not hard, u just need to plan ur city before start, but it's pointless to describe how to =)
@A350Airways You know, I never understood how to be successful on those maps. I suppose that's the challenge -- strategically placing important buildings near the oasis (if there is one) and making a network outwards. I never got the hang of it back then though.

That's a theme that I often heard in the "dry-climate" maps, i.e. most missions away from the Nile Valley.
