In Hak5 special the crew heads to the ShmooCon security conference. We talk to Bruce Potter about the conferenc, Billy Hoffman about Jikto and XSS. Eoin Miller and Adair Collins tell us all about Cachedump while Ken Caruso gives us a tour of the NOC. Jordan and Wes give us the details on the Hack or Halo competition, Scott Moulton talks to us about recovering dead hard drives and Babak tells us about lock picking and the TOOOL organization. Plus a rockin' Wii duck hunt box at the Hacker Arcade.
that data recovery dude is...kind of not the most accurate.
darren asked about sata.
sata is serial ata.
the data recovery dude kept referring to it as ide- which is pata (parallel ata).
sooo, there's that.
also, you ALWAYS image a drive (using GNU ddrescue- not the obsolete dd_rescue. yes, they are different software) and run recovery on that. ...i can't even go into all the corrections. ust not enough space for corrections in this comment box. :P

Guys complaining about quality, thats because this is way before the show really took off... Actually if you goto their site they have a high quality version. I assume this one is before they had a faster internet connection to upload it with.
