This is our version of Small Tiger and Swallow. It is the twenty-sixth form we learn at Master Lu's Health Center. It is performed here by Brad Ledbetter.

Actually, this form is mistranslated on our list of forms in the school as "Small Tiger and Crane." I imagine this is because the person who did the translation is not a Chinese speaker, and when the translation was done, Master Lu really didn't speak English.

In any case, the Small Tiger and Swallow set comes from the Seven Star Praying Mantis system, if I am not mistaken. It's very powerful and fast, and requires a good bit of flexibility and agility.

  • Very good form. I learned this form from jeff nickel in Milwaukee. Your form is much better than his. I and my kung fu brothers had to pay him $120 extra to learn this form.

It appears that Master Lu's center does not indulge in gouging students. I wish I had learned in Salt Lake City. I now understand why Master Yin's widow sued jeff nickel.. he is not a good man and has ruined Master Yin's Kung Fu.

  • esos barridos estan mal hechos, el pubu, el gong bu, el xie bu, el dili bu, por hacerlas rutinas rapido no hay que dejar de hacerlas con fuerza, espiritu, y buenas posturas

  • @stevegojira whoa...you had to pay per form? xiao hu yan is still a relatively basic form in the praying mantis system...there's no reason you should have to pay extra to learn it.

  • you´re very fat you need loss weight

  • 26th? Damn, that's a lot of forms to keep current on. Between my mantis and Hung Kuen studies I had to drop to eight forms total (granted, two of which are Gung Gee Fook Fu Kuen and Tiger Crane, which are both pretty long)

how many total do you guys have?

  • Sorry this is not so good. For one thing, it's obvious your hands are always moving after and independent of your legs. You leave your kicks out instead of snapping them. Where is power and speed? Maybe too many forms without spending enough time on basics?

  • cool how do you know

  • OMFG BRAD!

  • Very Nice!

  • learn to shift your weight, you can do it by lower stances.Focus on that for a while,if your arms and body and legs are moving differently, then your pretty much just waving your arms in the air, hence "empty shaodws in the forest".
