A Drum Cover Medley of some of Tools coolest drum parts, by Scott Haskitt. If you're interested in this SD2 preset, this is the preset http://scotthaskitt.com/tool_barresi.s20 - it uses a snare from the Music City SDX, but if you don't have that you can easily supplement a snare from Avatar library. I needed a snare that has the snares off setting... barresi doesn't have any.

Equipment:

Roland TD-4
Roland TD-3
Roland mesh/rubber pads
Macbook Pro 2.4, 4g ram
glyph GT050 72,000 external drive
superior 2.2 w/Barresi / Music City expansions.
Motu Fastlane Midi Interface
Shure Earbuds
Logic Studio 8
Waves, PSP and RND plugins
iMovie '08

  • Can u explain the fill at 1:50?.

  • @ricardoieci - yeah... I'll post something in the next day or two!

  • @haskitt Your preset doesn't work with my superior drummer. What I'm doing wrong? I have N-Y Avatar Metal Foundry and stuff like that

  • @Kornhulio18 - do you have the Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX? The preset is based on that library.

  • are you going to reply where do i put the snare sample you have given

  • @williamssally - Hey, sorry... I've been busy getting married. :) Anyhow, the snare drum preset uses some different libraries (music city sdx and barresi evil drums). Depending on which ones you have installed and authorized it might not work for you... sorry bout that.

  • rhythm overload but very awesome to be able to coordinate and project on a drumkit like this.i guess that comes with a lot of practise and some talent.

  • @swgeorge The track's volume is low and I'm sure they're EQ'ed out a bit.

  • YOU ARE AWESOME DUDE!

  • wow. really, really cool. great

  • Some of the medleys are accurate and some are waaaaaay off...
