The 20 Cent and 75 Cent multimedia dock for your Verizon Droid
Do you know to make a car or multimedia dock for the new Verizon Droid only requires a magnet.
Holding the magnet on the back of a Droid around the center with one polarity it shows the car dock interface, flip the magnet over and it will show the multimedia interface

  • when the magnet is attached to the droid does it charge it as well ?

    please answer !

  • @0oWGAo0 Yes, if you connect your cable to the charger block or to a USB port.

  • Some kid posted this idea about a month after you, gave it a misleading title and grabbed about 20k more views than you. People are commenting about how brilliant he and "his" idea was... I let 'em know you already had this floatin' on youtube a month before he posted "his" discovery.

Great vid tho', I appreciate it. Very nifty idea with the plastic too.

  • @makemehavefun Well I guess there are just so many original Ideas...

  • does the magnet effect the phone in the long run?

  • No the magnet does not affect the phone.

This is how motorola has designed the phone to work. Most non-intrusive docks use magnets, Motorola and others have used magnets in electronic equipment to detect if the radio/mp3 player is docked.

  • @0oWGAo0 no

  • @makemehavefun in fact homer830 uploaded a video of a homemade dock 2 days before this Mikey! ...

  • @makemehavefun thats true... but i think in this case, the kid just happened to make the same discovery about his phone and made a video about it too. I would be true plagiarism if he made the same plastic piece kludge of a mount, but the kid made it out of a box... by any rate, the only reason i've seen this video is because you posted his name on the kids video... this one was made way better.

  • @NetteFraulein I've seen it more than a few times on youtube over the years... someone puts up a useful, clever vid and then someone else plagiarizes it and slyly takes the kudos and credit for it.

I can't speak for Mikey but if that was the case with me then, yeah, I admit it... I'd care and plenty of others would too. Make sense? I'd be at the very least somewhat interested if someone passed that info along to me.

  • Cool vid...

  • @makemehavefun ... OMG who cares....
