Rorschachs death was done exactly the same way, noob.
And Aliens from another Dimension killing millions by crossing the dimensional Barrier sounds a bigger threat to me that some explosions by Manhattan.
especially since they know that doc doesn'gt give a shit about humanity.

I actually liked this change to the ending, but I thought the follow through after this scene was weak. It needed a heavy impact than the tone the remainder of the film had. Not saying this out of comic purity issues, but just as a film itself.

@ScottishWookiee I am not one of those snobs that puts their nose up to this movie just because it isn't an exact carbon copy of the book, because it was damn near closer than how it would have been had Zach Snyder not taken the director job for it (he saved the film from being set during the gulf war, among other dubious choices.) Still, it would have been nice if they could have shoehorned that in.

@anonymouspatron7 In the comics, those characters have a little more interaction with each other. Shortly before the explosion (or maybe a few pages before rather than panels, but either way in the last chapter of the book), they have a conversation about how the young man is always at his stand reading comics, but that they have never really talked. They then find out they have the same first name and begin to bond.
