Adventurer Bear Grylls will present the world premiere of his live stage show in Australia this September.

Born Edward Grylls and nicknamed Bear by his sister, Grylls is a fearless world adventurer, star of the worldwide hit TV show Man vs. Wild and the author of fourteen books.

After breaking his back in three places in a parachuting accident, doctors doubted Grylls would walk again. He fought his way to recovery, and two years later entered the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest, aged only 23. He has since led ground-breaking expeditions across the world. Grylls' story of progressing from a broken back in hospital to the summit of the world's highest mountain is one that touches people globally.

During the two hour live show the charming and inspirational Grylls will share his experiences of survival in some of the world's toughest environments, in conversation with one of his greatest fans, comedian and broadcaster Merrick Watts. Audiences will also see extraordinary footage of the great adventurer climbing Everest, plunging into the Irish Sea and surviving the toughest locations on earth, as well as some of his more bizarre exploits.
Grylls is known by millions of people across the world as the daredevil who crossed the frozen Atlantic in an inflatable boat, flew a powered para-glider above Mount Everest and slept inside a camel carcass and ate yak eyeballs to survive. This live show will be a rare opportunity to see Bear Grylls up close and personal and hear his incredible tales of inspiration first hand.

Grylls' TV show Man vs. Wild, where he parachutes into remote locations and claws back to civilization, is one of the most watched shows on the planet, reaching viewers in more than 200 countries worldwide. Appointed UK's Chief Scout in 2009, a black belt in Karate and recently featured in People Magazine's 'Sexiest Men' list, Grylls enthrals audiences worldwide.
