  • Thanks Don for your kind words. Very flattering given the number of versions there are. I never tire of listening to Louise's beautiful vocal.

  • This is a lovely rendition. Wish I could download it on itunes.

  • Stumbled across this. What a beautiful rendition of a truly timeless song; a voice like butterfly wings on velvet.

  • I have been listening to your version of this favorite song of mine for months, and I finally set up a YouTube account so now I can tell you that it's my favorite of all the ones available on YouTube and many I've heard performed. Louise's voice is really beautiful, and your guitar accompaniment is so simple that the touching nature of the song really comes through. I also enjoyed the photos, so sorry about Benji...

  • i love so much this version of this beutiful song. i used to listen it in david gilmour version, but this one is just great.

  • Hi, lovely version of this song. I also love Bonnie Raitt's version. I have my own on theonearmedbandit1- dedicated it to Micheal Jackson on his passing. Had to go acappella because of no backing tracks for this one. Timeless and beautiful, Richard Thompson is truly gifted.

  • Hi 'Me" and your pal Louise :o)

I have spent the evening listening to various versions of this song. Yours is simply awesome as it so simply portrays the agony of the words. Simply an astounding version and YouTube continues to give me delight after delight. How many hidden talents are there on here?

    thanks for this beautiful rendition
