AMPL is a pipeline pig launcher system with patent pending from Pipeline Engineering Ltd.

The pipeline pig launcher system allows a series of pipeline pigs to be launched into a pipeline at operator controlled intervals while minimising the number of times a pig trap door has to be opened to access a pipeline for pigging.

In doing this AMPL provides significant cost savings for pigging operations as well as Health, Safety and Environmental benefits.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING AMPL?

Minimum access is required to launch a series of pigs
Less manpower is required for pigging operations
AMPL significantly reduces the cost of pigging
AMPL is suitable for most pipeline pigging requirements
AMPL pigs can be launched remotely
AMPL greatly reduces the potential for accidents for personnel operating the pig trap
No costly pig trap modifications are normally required to use AMPL
No external power is required to launch the AMPL pigs
AMPL provide health, safety and environmental benefits

    asad_abbas7@yahoo.com

  • Who went on this video wanting to see flying pigs?

  • Thank you, and congrats to team who produced it.

  • How do you move ONE pig at a time. There MUST be by pass through the entire pig "casette" to even make this work. Then to launch ONE pig at a time appears impossible!!! The pig bodies are prioritized. This is non-functional. There is not enough disclosure in this video.

  • The pigs shown are "BI-DI" pigs. There is NOT enough information in the video to explain how this works. The ejection of "selected" pigs is not clear.

  • Thank you..now I know the basic theories of pigging activities in the upstream operations...

  • nice video..i was just surfing for pipeline pigging and found This video a..its helped me a lot in learning

  • good video on pipeline
