MrStark3y is correct. I do admit their earlier stuff was pretty bad and it was bad mostly because dumb, naive people listened to it. Their later stuff, Abbey Road, Magical Mystery Tour, Rubber Soul, Let It Be, The Revolver, The Beatles, were all great examples how good they really were.

@zappascum you should listen to their later stuff, I can't even keep up with it, by the way THEY got pretty tired themselves of the pop stuff by 1966 when they quit touring...

@aijunk2 If you like beatles, that's fine! I could not care less! They where a mediocre boy band with simple brainless 3 chord pop songs with words like love,baby,love,baby!!

How original is that?? And the innovation was mostly George Martin's production work!

They wouldn't be shit otherwise! As for achieving great success, that wasn't very difficult since most of the audience was a bunch of horny,dumb & naive teenage girls who wanted to hear pointless love songs with no value! F you!

Haha, how ignorant is that? I just proved they are amazing and you think they are overrated? HAHAh. They deserve that attention. Isn't that the purpose of music. Isn't that the purpose of achieving such great success. You shouldn't be honored like a god or anything, but they pretty much deserve all the attention.
