Asashoryu Akinori Dolgorsuren Dagvadorj Mongolian first yokozuna. In 2005 he became the first man to win all six official tournaments in a single year. Over his entire career, he won 25 top division tournament championships, placing him third on the all-time list.

On september 4th he decided to retire after continous criticism and pressure from Sumo Association mostly regarding on his personality and fighting style.

No matter what people say he will go down as the greatest sumo wrestler that has ever been!

  • 1:17 That animal died of exhaustion moments after that picture.

  • @shinrips the title of the video came up from typical mongol, who was inspired by Asa.So to be honest I don't know much about Chiyonofuji, but heard enough when I was fan of sumo during Asa years. But somehow,I think Asa had more warrior spirit than anyone ever played this sport, moreover he had very good technqiue, which I think revolutionized the game.Chiyonfuji was more like Chamberlin of sumo as he had more champions, stats as well as good reputation, whereas Asa was more Kobe or Jordan-like

  • @tomson600 Yeah, plus Hakuho is bit younger. They're actually both are from the family of two great wrestlers of Mongolia. Both have very strong backgrounds. Lot of people say that if they stayed in Mongolia they would be the 2 champions in Mongolian wrestling. Nonetheless they both became champions.

  • It's true He's number 1 in sumo

Монгол омогшил гэдгийг утгаар харуулсан Аварга

  • @johnlew05 Mongolian horse too so strong!!!

  • Жинхэнэ Монгол эр хүн ямар байдгийг харуулсан аварга...

  • Artist and song name please

  • Seems like Mongolians dominate in sumo.. Which frankly I'm surprised that mainstream Japan accepts it. Sumo is probably the most Japanese thing the Japanese partake in. It's heavily influenced with Shinto traditions.. Yet lately a lot of foreigners are participating in sumo. I know there are limits on how many foreigners a stable can take.. But regardless they're still dominating.

  • The greatest what? The greatest douche-bag? Big deal, an overrated wrestler. Takanohana's retirement was the best thing to happen to asashoryu.

  • He is the great Mongol after Genghis Khan!

  • Beast! Smaller, but more skilled dude beating everyone.

  • He's a god of Sumo. But now i say fuck the sumo sumo Association's forced him to retire from sumo because he was unstopable. He is Mongolian proud we love you.
