@SaneReviews replymycomments is not correct, or even close. Yes, you have recoil. It is less than most powder burners because it is accelerating the slug to a lesser velocity (except in the case of some subsonics), and the acceleration is over a larger period of time, so the percieved recoil is less. If you measure a 45 firing a 230 grain slug to 900 fps, and an air rifle doing the same, the net force of the recoil is roughly the same.
