http://Shop.StrongerTeam.com - The days of just laying on your back and doing crunches are over! Here are a variety of core exercises and drills we use with our players on a weekly basis, both in and out of season. These exercises work the core in all three planes of motion (with varying angles and foot positions) and utilize a variety of modalities. The core plays a vital role in every movement a basketball player makes on the court!

We define the "core" as everything from the chest to the knees... abs, obliques, low back, and glutes/hips.

  • @spiralmetal I understand that, but NONE of that stuff matters if you can't put the ball in the basket or stop your man from doing the same!

  • @subchen1

I think how fast you run and how much you bench and squat can help you athletically when playing basketball. For example, when chasing down a basketball, having speed to outrun your opponent in this situation is crucial. Squats will help you build the power you will need to protect your knees from injury when doing quickness drills, jumping practice, and all kinds of plyometric exercises. It will also aid you in improving your vertical jump. Bench can help with resistance.

  • @subchen1 No... those things have NOTHING to do with playing basketball....

  • @subchen1 maybe? i don't know

  • @subchen1 What do YOU think?

  • does how fast you run a mile and how much you bench/squat make you a good bball player?

  • @subchen1 I don't recommend taking ANY performance enhancing supplements... certainly not something called 'Jack3d'.... SHM...

  • would taking like jack3d supplements help you or would it risk your health?
