@xgardianx smart forfour was actually a Mitsubishi Colt.

my god that music was obnoxious

Did you know that the Canadian version with Diesel gets 70 mpg. My Geo metro gets 40 mpg. Smart is not doing us any favors. And where is the smartFor4, where do the kids ride.
Demand a Diesel and smartfor4.

A lot of what you say may be true, but both the Geo Metro and the smart forfour are out of production so it's kind of pointless, also, The diesel would be considered by most to be much to underpowred for the american market. The fortwo isn't for everybody, just like most other specialty cars, it's for those for whom it's design will work. the rest will have to drive something else.

Smart is the best choice for people who want to maximize fuel efficiency, while spending as little as possible on a new vehicle. Most of the time, I'm the only person in the car, maybe 1 passenger at most. I would gladly give up my car's wasted backseat to get an additional 10mpg over what I currently get (30mpg). A Smart would fit my lifestyle perfectly. Same can be said for my Mom who lives by herself and only has a 10 mile roundtrip for work. Smart won't work for everyone, but would for many.
