WASHINGTON, D.C. - A Democratic moderate on the Senate Finance Committee - which today unveiled its massive health-care reform bill - expressed optimism about the chances for passing the measure he described as a starting point for reform. There are serious issues to be resolved, U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) said in a Wednesday morning speech on the floor of the Senate. I believe that we are going to be able to achieve this goal of expanding affordable health care to nearly all Americans. For more go to http://billnelson.senate.gov/news/details.cfm?id=317849&

  • Mr. Nelson, It's the Constitution, dude... Article 1 Section 8 - point to it! I wanna see it!

Hope you are ready for retirement if you cram this down our throats.

  • Sen. Bill Nelson has an F Grade on votes regarding immigration.

Nelson with his mannerly friendly speaking voice is a SNAKE.

He has never voted on any immigration issue in favor of the American working man or women, but always in favor of illegal immigrants and those that employ them. He is a dirtbag! Go to numbersusa(dot)com to check your elected representatives record or to fax for free your Senators on immigration.

    No more Amnesties!!!

    2010 Throw the Bums OUT!!!

  • ming,

he's representing his constituents, more of them should do the same.

i'm tired of partisanship overruling representation and good old common sense.

  • Mr Nelson. I just left an article concerning Blackwater still operating in Afaganistan under a different name and the millions in contracts awaiting them and others. You and your colleges have one hell of a nerve making excuses for no affordable health insurance for Americans. It,s ok to fight a war that could have been prefented if the airlines had of protected their customers on 9-11. Winston707

  • Will it be worth compromising so much on this bill, again and again, Senator Nelson, when it *still* fails to get a single Republican vote?

  • Sen. Nelson,

I vehemently disagree with much of what you have to say, but I appreciate you not blocking comments or ratings.

  • Thank you for taking the time to speak about public demands. "Hot" discussion would not be needed if we the people were actually being listened to instead of David Rockefellers Council of Foreign Relations dictating an angenda to the American People. Actually, he should be imprisoned...Obamacare is nothing more than an attempt to make Rockefeller/Rothschild Insurance companies WINDFALL profits. The people are fed up with being RAPED by them.... = HOT
