its a tele ...its not made to play that kind of music plus the tele dosen't have a flat neck so its harder to press the frets its like playing metal on an accoustic...doable but hard...trust me I do It.

It's very possible. Keep it simple. That's what most guitar players including myself have. That's all you really need. An overdrive (I have a Maxon OD808 Overdrive) to add a bit of clarity and a noise gate.

no peavey just pays bands to use them in they're advertisements, he probably 'Owns' one but I'm sure its not the only amp he uses

There is no way they only use a tube screamer or a boss overdrive to make the 1986 marshall Jcm 800 sound so heavy and distorted. Right?
