I understand your point, but its irrelevant to sasukes character. I just dont like him because he is not a loyal, trustworthy friend. He would rather betray his whole country and friends just for a little power... there are many ways to prolong a manga so even if sasuke sided with naruto, new plot points/events would occur. The author made Sasuke have a shadowy character with a taint of evil, and he wasnt meant to be looked up too in the manga .

of course, no one would like to be turned down, but if he wouldn't have done that, the manga/anime would have been REALLY sort.. Besides, Itachi said years back 'to defeat me u have to kill the ones that lies closest to u' atleast he said so in the manga

Naruto feels as if Sasuke were his brother (say in the early chapetrs) so he wants him back Bcuz of that, Itachi killed his own family, and he've made even more sacrefises than Sasuke, and I seriously can't imagine how Itachi can be so calm, he've done much more horrible things than Sasuke O_O
