Excitement ahead of the ATCO PSA World Series Squash Finals in January continued to build with an 'Urban Squash' event hosted on London's South Bank in the Skate Park last week. The venue, usually reserved for boarders and BMX'ers, was taken over by England's elite players for an exhibition of trick shots, skills and games in front of passersby, media and local school children.
In a bold move, which is aimed at taking the sport to a wider audience, top English players Nick Matthews, Peter Barker, James Willstrop, Daryl Selby and Joey Barrington, showed off their talents on an Urban Court created using the natural walled surroundings of the famous London location.
The players were joined by professional graffiti artists and DJ Grainger at South Bank's notorious youth urban hotspot, to wow crowds and offer passersby the chance to see just how exciting, fun and skilful the sport of squash can be.
The 'Urban Squash' event was the first of a series of focussed activities from the Professional Squash Association to rejuvenate and reinvigorate public interest in the sport in the lead up to the biggest Squash tournament of the year, the ATCO PSA World Series Squash Finals.
This is so bloody obvious.
'Oh, so like, BMX'ing is cool and so are DJ's and Hoodies, ooh ooh! so is Graffiti!'
Wow, suddenly I think squash is really cool, well done advertisers. Your job is done.

This is awesome, I'm thinking Squash needs some new age advertisements in the vain of old school Nike ones.
