Prior to the casket of Sen. Edward Kennedy arriving at Arlington National Cemetery for burial, it made a scheduled stop at the U.S. Capitol so former colleagues could pay their respects. Rev. Daniel Coughlin leads the prayer service.
In this clip, Patrick J. Kennedy addresses the Capitol crowd on behalf of his late father. Shortly afterward, the crowd sings a somber rendition of "God Bless America" as well as "America the Beautiful."
I agree. It was so powerful and truly meaningful. I very special moment.
Rest in peace, Teddy.

It was the most beautiful part of the ceremony - when people began singing God Bless America without anyone leading them or it being a part of the official ceremony.
