It is normal to think something is harder than it really is. I know you have looked at beautiful arched or shaped top cornices and thought I could never do that. That is why I did this video on arched cornices. I will show you all the tools, materials and supplies you will need and where to find them. You will see how to create a template and pattern for the project. Learn how to select the proper materials and build the structure. Find out which kind of padding is best and observe the step by step method of upholstering. You will see in detail just how to upholster every surface and how to use covered welt cord to complete the job. Then line and gimp the back of the project and finish it for installation. All relevant issues are covered including proper installation, hardware requirements, alternative building methods and material available like firmaflex and bendable plywood and my wish list of tools and equipment. As a bonus, tips and tricks to keep you out of trouble are shared through out this video. Once you have the knowledge to create arches you can do so many other shaped top cornice styles. Don't miss out on this first video in the series.

  • I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE FRAME WAS MADE.

  • I have a larger window with very bright sunlight coming through. This window has been a problem for me to figure out how to cover it and yet look nice at the same time. Wish you'd continue from where you ended...that's information I need. Mine is 54" on the bottom, 27" to top and then that same curve as you have. Please get back to me..or us so we'll be able to do it too. Thanks for your video, it's well done but incomplete :(
